Thai-Japan Workshop at Iizuka campus

On 21st of January 2020, Kyutech invited guests from Royal Thai Consulate General, Fukuoka and held the Thai-Japan Workshop at Iizuka campus.

In more than 10 years of Kyutech’s history of the exchanges with universities in Thailand, Kyutech now has 10 partners and has been conducting various exchange programs and joint research with them. And many Thai students from the partner universities have enrolled Kyutech for the post graduate courses.

Expected to deepen the relationship with Thailand, and on the occasion that Royal Thai Consulate General opened in Fukuoka city in October 2018, the workshop was held with the attendance of Consul General Mr. Attakarn Wongchanamas, Consul Mr. Somchai Angsanuntsukh, and Consul Ms. Pornphan Pupianjai.

The workshop opened with the remarks by President Yuji Oie and Mr. Wongchanamas, followed by the introduction of Kyutech, the presentation on industry internship program for Thai students in Kitakyushu city, the presentation on collaborations between Kyutech and King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok, and the presentations by Thai students studying at Kyutech about their research.

The guests from the Consulate General were pleased to know about the various collaborations between Kyutech and Thailand, and how actively Thai students are working in Kyutech.
